What is the difference between Hard Enamel and Soft Enamel Pins?
Hard Enamel pins are baked longer and the paint (enamel) rises to top surface of pin, while Soft Enamel has small ridges where the paint (enamel) stops. Both Hard and Soft Enamel pins are of highest quality for collecting and trading.
What is cloisonné?
Cloisonné is an ancient Chinese method of producing jewelry (pendants, pins, key chains) by use of crushed glass and powder to fill the custom metal piece. There are limited colors to choose from, and modern day Hard Enamel is most similar to this process.
Where are the pins made?
Most pins are made in China. PTP Universal only uses factories that receive inspections and certifications for all Child Safety and Product Safety Laws.
How many pins to I need to order?
PTP Universal will produce as few pins as needed. Price breaks are usually at 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 pins, but we can process any order size that fits your budget.
How Big Are Most Pins?
The most common lapel pin size is 1.25”. Most Pins Range from 1 Inch to 2 inches. Pins are measured from their longest dimension (top to bottom or left to right) to determine actual size of pin. See the graphic on this web page - How To Correctly Measure A Pin.
